What kind of Yoga Mat
Better to use?
When choosing and using yoga mats, we often think that there are only differences in thickness and size. In fact, there are several materials for yoga mats, and the performance and experience of different materials are different.

There are currently five main materials for yoga mats on the market: NBR (nitrile rubber), TPE (thermoplastic elastomer), rubber, PU rubber (polyurethane), and PVC (polyvinyl chloride).

Yoga mat made of NBR: good abrasion resistance, but poor slip resistance and elasticity. Because the material may use calcium oxide (ie quicklime) as a filler during processing, if the proportion of calcium oxide is not well controlled, the production The yoga mat coming out may cause skin irritation or burning sensation.

NBR yoga mats are relatively cheaper and more suitable for yoga beginners.

TPE material is widely used in sports equipment. Yoga mats of this material have good anti-skid effect, elasticity and durability, but the price is generally slightly higher, which is more suitable for professional yoga practice.

The rubber yoga mat has good resilience, durability, and anti-slip properties, but if your hands and feet sweat, the anti-slip effect will be significantly reduced. Although the mat of this material has a strong smell and is not easy to remove, it is safe and harmless.
PU materials are mainly used in artificial leather, sofas, car steering wheel outer membranes, etc. Yoga mats of this material are absorbent and breathable, and have a good anti-skid effect. Even if sweat and water are present during exercise, they can be effectively anti-skid.
However, the PU rubber mat is a yoga mat with a polyurethane film and a rubber base at high temperature. The yoga mat of this material is very expensive, and it is easy to absorb dust, afraid of oil, and difficult to take care of. Yoga novices do not recommend it. Choose this~

In fact, PVC yoga mats are gradually being eliminated from the market. This kind of yoga mat has poor tear resistance and elasticity, and it is easy to drop slag after a long time.

02
What is the size of the yoga mat
more suitable?
Yoga mats usually come in two sizes: 173cm*61cm and 183cm*61cm, which is sufficient for most people.
Of course, there are many lengthened and widened models on the market, and beginners can choose a suitable size according to their needs.

03
The thicker the yoga mat, the better?
It is said that high-end yoga masters do not use yoga mats, because yoga pays attention to the control of their own body, so the higher the level of practice, the thinner the mat may be.

04
Two sides of a yoga mat
Must be non-slip?
Because yoga has many postures that need to be balanced, and the athlete`s body sweats a lot during the exercise, if the anti-skid effect of the yoga mat surface is not good, it may affect the accuracy of the action.
If the hands and feet slip when doing some difficult movements, there will be great safety risks. If the grip of the yoga mat is not enough, there will also be these problems.

Is the soft cushion elastic?
For many yoga novices, soft mats are particularly comfortable to step on, and they often mistakenly think that such mats are suitable for practice.

If the cushion is soft and inflexible, it will not be comfortable to exercise. Imagine that during exercise, the pits on the mat cannot return to normal for a long time. This is also called "ergonomic"?

Among the several common yoga mats, the worst elasticity is the PVC yoga mat. Even if some businesses advocate "slow memory rebound", it will not be able to wash away its poor elasticity.

06
Yoga mat can
When used as a child Crawling Mat?
For many people, giving birth to a good-looking baby and practicing parent-child yoga together is a superb thing; even if the child is still young, letting him/her crawl on the mat and play with one stone can kill two birds with one stone, that is, keeping close contact with the child will also solve the problem. I have to put another crawling mat at home.
Can a yoga mat be used as a crawling mat for children?
It`s better to perform their duties separately and don`t get confused. Using a yoga mat as a crawling mat may have an impact on your child`s health, and using a crawling mat as a yoga mat may cause your child to drive away.
