For those who have never been in contact with the zero-level foundation, if they want to learn yoga, they should go to the yoga studio to practice, or they should learn from the video and the book at home. Talk about my own views. Of course, this is a personal subjective view, for reference only.


First of all, if you have the conditions to study in a professional yoga studio, of course it is a good thing. The early stage is conditional. The conditions here may not only be money, there are many such examples around me.

For example, I have a friend who runs a clothing store, just like the clothing store you see in the streets when you go shopping. The owner is alone, from 10 am to 8 pm. If you have something to do at home, you can only choose to close the door, or ask a friend to watch it for a day, and you must post a sign at the door when you go to buy goods. There is no time to learn yoga outside. Don't ask me why I don't ask someone to help, or close early, because this is real life.


There is also a former member. The child is in the third grade, and her husband is an ordinary worker. She herself is an office clerk, and she can take one day off in the morning from 9 to 5 a week. The secondary card of the yoga studio that I run has changed from three classes a week to two classes a week, and then two classes can`t be guaranteed. I took the children to the gym a few times and insisted on following me for about a month. Said that I cannot come to class anymore. If she doesn't bring her child to the yoga studio, after 9:00 in the evening, the child's homework has not been finished yet, and she has to go back to supervise and counsel, and often go to bed at 11 or 12 o'clock. Bring it to the yoga studio. It was so disturbing that no one was peaceful, and she could not practice at ease. So consider waiting for the child to go to junior high school, a little older, and see if there is time. Don't ask me where her husband has gone, why didn't she bring children, there are so many in reality.


If these people want to learn yoga, can they just give up? Not necessarily. Learning with videos and books at home is also a way.

Here are some suggestions for those who practice yoga at home.

1. Learn how to follow the video to learn and practice by yourself

I deliberately used the words study and practice. It is best to separate learning and practice when practicing yoga at home. What does that mean?

There are many yoga videos teaching exercises on the Internet. It is best to read it before practicing and understand the password. For example, in the video, it is said that you put your hands on the inner side of your left foot; shift your center of gravity back and straighten your front legs. These seemingly simple and clear passwords will cause you to frequently watch the screen when you actually follow the practice on the mat, disturbing your mind and making Practice became intermittent. Read it before practice, it's a bit like a child studying first, it will make the practice much more fluent and efficient.

If you don't have time to preview, then you repeat the exercise against the same video. Until you are fully able to keep up with the rhythm of the video.


One more thing you don`t need to worry about not understanding the words in it. For example, when we say that you enter the young dragon pose with your hands on the inside of your feet, you don't have to worry that you don't understand what is called the young dragon pose at first, you will understand after listening more.

You go to the yoga studio to have a class, if it is a big class, the process is the same.

One more thing, you shouldn't doubt how to practice these movements. Why is there no new trick? There are tens of thousands of yoga poses, but there are only so many basic ones. So you see familiar faces.
2. Preparation for practice at home.

First of all, arrange a time and space where no one is disturbed. I don't think I need to explain this point.

Second, determine the video of the practice day. Don`t prepare to practice, but I still can`t decide what video to practice. I want to practice this for a while, and I want to practice that for a while, and the time quickly slips away. Don't even practice halfway, stop and look for the video again, so your real practice time is very limited.

Finally, if time permits, try to find a complete video and follow the practice at first. What is a complete video is from the beginning of the breath adjustment to the rest. At least I personally think that at least I should find a video of more than 15 minutes to follow the practice. Don't practice for 3 minutes and look for videos, practice for 5 minutes and change the style.


3. Follow the video practice by yourself, and do it step by step, don't pursue difficulty.

Whether you are practicing in a yoga studio or on your own, this is crucial. As long as you don't pursue difficulty, gradual practice is safe.

The main reason why many people oppose their own practice at home is that they feel that they are not safe enough and there may be injuries. The human body is very intelligent, and there must be warning before injury occurs. For example, tingling, such as feeling uncomfortable when the joints are twisted. As long as you don't force yourself and pursue difficulty, you can avoid injury. The reason for yoga injury ranks first: the injury caused by incorrect auxiliary methods.

Of course, don`t worry if you don`t pursue difficulty, progress is slow, and results are slow. As long as you practice, you will make progress. It is better than no practice.


4. Recommend two videos that are more suitable for you to practice at home.
