Can yoga really delay aging?


Seeing this problem, I remembered something that happened not long ago.

There is an old customer in my shop, and the relationship is not far or near. A little closer than the relationship between guests and a little further away from the relationship with friends. She kept saying that she was physically hard and wanted to go to yoga class with me, but she didn't have time, so I taught her some simple stretching exercises to improve flexibility. Of course, she didn't insist. In fact, she was not interested in this aspect, so she gradually chatted together and rarely talked about yoga, sports, and the body.

Later, I told me that in June and July of this year, I went to the hospital for a comprehensive check-up with her back pain. She had a herniated intervertebral disc and osteoporosis. The doctor said that her bones were 5 years older than her actual age.

The doctor spoke to her, and she was impressed. The doctor said: It's useless to look young. Young bones and internal organs are really young. She also advised her to wear less high heels and exercise more.

So I found me again and wanted to practice yoga with me. Whether doing exercise can make you look young, we won't talk about it for the time being. But correct and scientific exercise can definitely slow down the aging process of bones and internal organs and delay aging.

I only talk about the bones. As the bones grow older, the ratio of organic matter to inorganic matter will change year by year. The bone density will become more and more loose, the bones will become more brittle and lose their elasticity. But exercise can slow down this process.

The reason is simple. Exercise is equivalent to putting a certain amount of pressure on the bones. Only with the right amount of pressure can the bones become stronger to resist the pressure. It is the same reason that the vitality of flowers in the greenhouse is different from that of wild flowers.

Of course, the premise is the right amount of exercise. I often feel that the current exercise has two extremes, either it is never moving, or it is desperately torturing oneself to death, and proper exercise is the most difficult exercise. For the general public from the perspective of health preservation, there is really no need to work hard.

Speaking of this, there may be people who want to refute me. So and so in our community who exercises all the year round, but at what age did they die? How about those who don`t exercise? I believe you are telling the truth, and I believe that there are such cases, but there is a problem of probability and quality of life. Don`t compare special cases with special cases.

Good exceptions may not happen to you, and bad exceptions may not happen to you.
